During a trip to Magnetic Island, we were lucky enough to spot koalas on a bushwalk - not only the mama but also her joey peeking out from under her tight embrace! It was a special moment getting to see them both with our young daughter, and that memory was poured into creating this artwork.
 
'Mama's hugs' was shortlisted in Explorers Against Extinction 2022 Sketch for Survival and was auctioned in November 2022 in London, raising £550 for Explorers Against Extinction's wildlife conservation projects.
