Our local neighbourhood hosts many unexpectedly beautiful plants and animals, and this swamp wattle (Acacia elongata) is no exception. When it isn't in flower, you could easily pass by it without a second glance. When it flowers in late winter and spring, it is like a vibrant punch of gold to your eye! For me, the black background of scratchboard helps to capture and highlight this beautiful native plant at its finest.
